Two men were hospitalized Thursday after they were found shot at Greenbriar Mall, authorities said.

Atlanta police were called just before 3 p.m. to the mall on Greenbriar Parkway, where they located the two victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

According to investigators, the men drove there to seek medical attention after being shot at a townhome in the 2600 block of Senegal Way. That location is about a half-mile from the mall on the west side of I-285.

Jerry Pascual, a spokesperson for Greenbriar Mall, said passersby noticed the men were injured and rushed to help.

Police said they were alert when they were taken to a hospital.

The mall did not close during the investigation, and Pascual said the venue is staffed by security and Atlanta police officers.

No details have been provided about what led to the shooting or if any arrests have been made.
