Two vehicles were engulfed in flames early Friday morning, leaving an hourslong trail of traffic on I-75 South in Clayton County.

The crash jammed motorists and blocked all southbound lanes before U.S. 41.

The Georgia Department of Transportation said the crash happened at about 3:25 a.m. Friday morning. Authorities said no one was seriously injured. One of the drivers faces unspecified charges related to the incident, officials said.

By 7 a.m., traffic had begun to move through the area again, but several cars remained stalled on the interstate.

The interstate was blocked just before Exit 235 to Tara Boulevard, GDOT said.
