A man was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds Wednesday evening at a southeast Atlanta apartment complex with a history of crime and neglect, including a November shooting incident.

Officers were called to 925 Conley Road just after 5:30 p.m. after getting reports of a person shot, Atlanta police said. They found an unresponsive man at the scene who was later pronounced dead by medical personnel, police said.

He was later identified as 28-year-old Rashad Kingsberry by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office. Police have not released any further information.

The apartment complex was formerly known as Conley Square, Canyon Creek and the Villages at South River. The property is among 272 of the metro area’s persistently dangerous complexes, according to an investigation by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that looked into serious crimes, lax maintenance and other hazards in Atlanta neighborhoods.

Several apartment rental websites show listings for Conley Square, but no units are currently available to rent.

The AJC last reported an incident at the address in November, when police were called about a person shot. Officers found a 28-year-old victim suffering from a gunshot wound who said he had been shot in an incident down the street, according to police.

While officers were on scene with the first victim, they learned that three other men shot in the same incident had been taken to the hospital, police said. All four victims were expected to survive.

Investigators learned that the group had been hanging out when one of the men got in a fight with a suspect, who was not publicly identified, which resulted in the shooting, according to police. The suspect left the scene and police have not said if any arrests were made.
