It’s an annual fall event designed just for them.
Over 70 special needs students in the Madison area attended a fall festival in the Morgan County High School Auxiliary Gym on Oct. 25.
Noelle Brownlee, a special education teacher, said the festival activities were not spooky or scary and no loud music was playing. She described the environment as calming with many of the activities giving the students the chance to work on their gross motor or fine motor skills.

“A lot of our activities could even qualify as adaptive P.E. activities,” she said.
The festival was organized by students with the Morgan County High School Teaching As A Profession (TAP) pathway.
“It’s nice to see our regular ed. students interacting with our special ed. students,” Brownlee said. “This is very special that they get this opportunity.”
