After 2020′s close presidential election in Georgia, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are pouring resources into the state.

They’re also asking voters for money, and some are saying yes. Here’s how much the candidates are raising from Georgia residents.

Harris’ sudden entrance into the presidential race after Biden dropped out in July has changed the picture. Biden’s money machine in Georgia had been lagging. But in the 11 days after Biden withdrew, Harris raised $2.4 million. For the month Democrats raised about $2.8 million, which allowed them to close the fundraising gap between them and Trump by $2 million.

Trump still leads the donation race by about $1 million. The former president has collected 51% of all Georgia presidential itemized donations. In 2020, Trump raised nearly $15 million from Georgia residents, which was the 6th highest state total for him. Biden raised about $12.2 million in 2020.

Trump received a big money boost after a jury found him guilty of 34 felony criminal counts. Georgia residents donated more than $1 million in the two days following that verdict, according to FEC June filings.

Robert Kennedy Jr. The independent has raised more than $550,000 from Georgians.
