Here is the current MLB playoff picture after games on Sept. 15.

The Braves lost at night. The Mets lost during the day. For a couple of hours, the Braves held a half-game lead for the final wild card spot. Alas, a seven-run ninth inning by the Dodgers led to the Braves loss and a return to the deadlock. Both teams have 81-68 records and are 5-5 in head-to-head matchups. The Mets technically own the final spot due to the second tiebreaker, intradivison record. The Mets are 23-19 (.548) against NL East teams while the Braves are 24-22 (.522).

The Braves finish a four-game series against the Dodgers on Monday before leaving for their final road trip of the regular season. The Mets start a three-game series at home against the Nationals on Monday.
