Legos are seemingly more popular than ever, as adults who played with them as kids keep up with the hobby through sets allowing them to build everything from colorful flowers to a brick version of the Millennium Falcon.
And they’ve passed along their love of Lego to their kids, helping fuel the popularity of Brick Cons at venues across the country.
Whether you’re just getting into the Lego hobby, are looking to add to your collection of sets or just want to get some inspiration, head to Atlanta Brick Con on Saturday and Sunday at Gas South Convention Center in Duluth.
Billed as the South’s largest Lego fan event, the show covers everything Lego over 70,000-plus square feet. You’ll have the chance to be inspired by other builders’ designs, attend panels to learn more, buy hard-to-find items from vendors, make your own contributions to several fan-built creations and more.

Expert builders appearing at the show include Mark and Steven Erickson, Season Two winners of the Fox show “Lego Masters,” who will be on hand to greet fans, participate in several panels and share some of their builds, including a “Tron”-inspired MOC (“My Own Creation” works, which are built using custom designs and original bricks). Mark will also have his “Dune” sandworm on display, which is more than 2 feet tall.
Atlanta Brick Con takes place from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday at Gas South Convention Center, 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway, Duluth.
One-day general admission purchased online costs $25, with 1-5 p.m. Saturday tickets costing $22 and 1-4 p.m. Sunday tickets priced at $20. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door for $30, and children ages 4 and up will need a ticket.
