Looking for something fun to do this weekend in metro Atlanta? If you love Legos, head to the Atlanta Brick Con at the Gas South Convention Center. You’ll be able to shop from vendors, see amazing Lego creations, attend panels and more. And if you want to get some exercise, take part in the Galentine’s Day 5K in Piedmont Park, which is a qualifier for The Atlanta Journal Constitution’s Peachtree Road Race.

Galentine’s Day 5K

9:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8. $45. Piedmont Park, Charles Allen Drive and 10th Street NE, Atlanta.

Run on a course that’s fully contained within Piedmont Park, with the race serving as a qualifier for the AJC’s Peachtree Road Race. A portion of the registration fees will go to Girls on the Run Atlanta Scholarship Fund, and runners are welcome to stay after the race for a party with chocolate-covered strawberries and other treats, music, games, giveaways and the chance to make a complementary Galentine’s Day card.

Singing Legends of the ’50s

Spend a nostalgic evening saluting The Platters, The Drifters and Cornell Gunter’s Coasters, who were instrumental in creating the rock ’n’ roll/doo-wop sound.

Smyrna History Museum Kid’s Pop-Up Craft Event
