Restaurants serving Southern food with Thai and Caribbean influences and Mexican cuisine have opened at the Avenue West Cobb development in Marietta.
Located at 3625 Dallas Highway in the former Gibney’s Tavern space, one side of the nearly 10,000-square-foot building is home to Le’Zia, a Southern eatery with Thai and Caribbean influences, while the other side is occupied by Mexican restaurant Hey Linda’s.
Both concepts come from business partners Charles Taylor, Tim Yates and Elvira Escamilla.

Hey Linda’s is on the smaller side of the building and seats about 30 people inside and 16 on an outdoor patio. Everything from the rice to the tortillas are made from scratch daily, Taylor said.
The menu was developed by Escamilla, a native of Mexico, and includes offerings like elotes, ceviche, street style tacos, quesa birria, chilaquiles, chicken taquitos, salads and bowls. The bar offers a range of cocktails, beer, wine and “almost every type of tequila and mezcal that’s available,” Taylor said.
The interior is meant to feel cozy and “like a slice of Mexico,” he said.
Le’Zia is on the other side of the building and seats about 120 inside and 50 to 60 on the patio. Expect menu offerings like jerk or Thai spiced wings; lobster bites; a crispy fried chicken sandwich with coleslaw, pepper jack cheese and a hot pineapple maple sauce; and entrees like blackened chicken pasta, stuffed pork chop with creole red rice, grilled salmon with coconut rice and lobster tail mac and cheese.

The bar at Le’Zia will also offer beer, wine and cocktails like the Augusta Southern tea and a lychee martini. Guests can order from either food menu in the Le’Zia dining room.
A private event space with a separate entrance seats about 60 and will host game nights, karaoke and jazz and chess events. A third patio will open as a cigar bar in the coming months.
Le’Zia and Hey Linda’s join several other food and beverage concepts at Avenue West Cobb including Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux, Peach Cobbler Factory, Otter’s Chicken, Queen Tea and Ted’s Montana Grill.
Le’Zia and Hey Linda’s hours are 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Sundays-Thursdays and 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution incorrectly reported the ownership of Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux. We regret the error.
