Alpharetta seafood restaurant Rena’s Italian Fishery & Grill is set to open a second location in the forthcoming Johns Creek mixed-use development Medley.

Owner and chef Darren Henderson opened the first Rena’s, which serves a menu of meat, seafood and pasta, in early 2021.

The restaurant will join many others announced for Medley, including Little Rey, CRÚ Food & Wine Bar, Fadó Irish Pub, Summit Coffee, Lily Sushi Bar, Knuckies Hoagies, Cookie Fix, 26 Thai Kitchen and Bar, Five Daughters Bakery, Minnie Olivia, Amorino and Fogón and Lions.

The 43-acre development Medley, located at 11650 Johns Creek Pkwy, will also be home to retail businesses including Sephora and High Country Outfitters. Developed by Toro Development Company, Medley is set to open in late 20256 and will feature 150,000 square feet of walkable retail, restaurant and entertainment space, a 175-key boutique hotel, 110,000 square feet of office space office, 750 multifamily residences, 133 townhomes and a 25,000-square-foot plaza.

Nashville-based health food eatery E+Rose Wellness Company is set to open a location at 760 Ralph McGill Blvd. near the Eastside Beltline, What Now Atlanta reports. Another location is in the works for Peachtree Street in Midtown.

Cincinnati-based Nostalgia Wine & Jazz Lounge is set to open next year “Downtown, near Mercedes-Benz Stadium and State Farm Arena,” according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle, though owner Tammie Scott wouldn’t divulge the exact address. The bar will offer wine tastings, private event space and live music.

A new franchise location of California-based Dave’s Hot Chicken will replace locally-owned Otter’s Chicken at 1300 Ernest Barrett Parkway in Kennesaw, Tomorrow’s News Today reports. The first metro Atlanta location of Dave’s opened earlier this year in Conyers with R&B star Usher as a partner, and more locations are planned for the area.

Chinese-based Qiao Lin Hotpot is set to open its first Georgia location at 3473 Old Norcross Road in Duluth, What Now Atlanta reports. The restaurant opened its first U.S. location in Chicago in 2020.
