A man and a woman were found shot to death at a home in Cobb County on Saturday morning in what was deemed a murder-suicide, authorities said.

Cobb police responded at about 10:40 a.m. to the 1100 block of Research Drive for a person down. The home is located near Piedmont Road and Marietta.

At the scene, officers found a man and a woman who were dead inside the house. Police said it appeared that the man fatally shot the woman before taking his own life at the home, where they lived.

They were identified by police Tuesday as 44-year-old Samuel Mills and 38-year-old Daphne Saddler.

An investigation is ongoing. Anyone with more information is asked to contact Cobb police at 770-499-3945.
