The Braves claimed reliever José Suarez off waivers from the Baltimore Orioles, the club announced Monday.

Suarez, 28, spent 11 days with Baltimore after the Orioles claimed him off waivers from the Braves earlier this month. Suarez pitched in seven games with the Braves in 2025.

On Sept. 16, he made his only start of the season and threw seven innings, allowing two earned runs and working around six hits and two walks while fanning nine.

Suarez has a 5.30 career ERA in 106 appearances. From 2019-22 with the Los Angeles Angels he made 51 starts.

In a corresponding move, the Braves designated pitcher George Soriano for assignment.
