That’s the typical view at East Lake Golf Club during the PGA Tour Championship.
While photographer Ben Gray was capturing traditional images during this year’s tournament, he decided to take a different view — infrared. He used a digital camera modified to record only infrared light. The images were then processed using a technique that swapped the color channels to return the skies to blue.
These infrared photos capture invisible light and turn green foliage and most clothing to a ghostly white, causing the familiar scenes of a golf tournament to turn into a surreal, snow-covered wonderland.
