The I-285 South ramp to I-85 is back open after crews removed an overhead sign Wednesday morning following an overnight crash.

The collision was reported at midnight, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation. The scene was at Exit 61 near Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

A car hit the signpost, according to the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center. Officials have not released information about what happened or if any injuries were reported.

Crews methodically sawed the signposts on either side of the road until the structure came crashing down shortly before 6:30 a.m. The ramp reopened by 7:40 a.m.
